On August 18, the establishment meeting of Shandong Port and Shipping Association Yacht Development Promotion Association was held in Linyi, Shandong province. More than 90 people from Beijing, Shanghai, Guangdong, Jiangsu, Zhejiang and other enterprises and institutions related to yacht development, such as government agencies, maritime ship inspection departments, education and training institutions, tourism companies, shipping companies, yacht companies, associations and other enterprises and institutions attended the meeting. Li Kefu, former inspector of the National Tourism Administration, attended the meeting, Liu Changxu, deputy director of the Port and Navigation Bureau of the Provincial Department of Transport, and Wu Kai, deputy director of the Commodity Development Center of the Provincial Tourism Development Commission, attended the meeting and spoke. The meeting confirmed that the first president of the Provincial Port and Navigation Association Yacht Development Promotion Association was Dong Xili, chairman of the North Shore Yacht Association.

It is reported that the establishment of the Yacht Development Promotion Association is the Shandong Port and Navigation Association to actively respond to the call of the state to encourage and support the development of the yacht economy, and to promote the faster and better development of the Shandong yacht economy, to build the yacht industry development exchange and cooperation platform. During the "13th Five-Year Plan" period, the state has continuously issued a number of encouragement and support documents, which has brought huge opportunities for the development of China's yacht industry, and the yacht market has shown "warmth". On August 4, 2015, the "Several Opinions on Further Promoting Tourism Investment and Consumption" (State Council [2015] No. 62) requires that the development of the yacht industry be facilitated and preferential conditions in all aspects. In 2017, the country will initially form an interconnected yacht leisure tourism route network and cultivate the formation of the yacht mass consumer market; On September 28, 2015, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the National Development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of Transport and other six ministries jointly issued the "Implementation Opinions on Promoting the Development of Tourism equipment Manufacturing Industry", which clearly proposed that we should vigorously develop mass consumption yacht products, actively explore domestic and foreign yacht markets, clean up and simplify the approval procedures of yachts, and gradually open up the coastline and waters in a planned way. Encourage yacht-related institutions to research and develop and introduce foreign related technologies, cultivate high-level talents and teams for yacht management, and encourage the establishment of professional training institutions for yachts. 

Shandong Province has introduced a number of measures to promote the development of the yacht industry. It is understood that in order to achieve the development of tourism in our province during the "13th Five-Year Plan" period, emerging industries such as yachts will be the main new force for the development of the "13th Five-Year Plan". Shandong will increase efforts to encourage the development of new forms of tourism such as yachts, closely align with the national "Belt and Road" development strategy, optimize the layout of cruise and yacht ports, and encourage the development of yacht equipment manufacturing industry. The promotion of the tourism industry and related policy support will be given priority. It will guide tourism equipment manufacturing enterprises such as yacht manufacturing in the province to cooperate with foreign enterprises, and build a tourism and leisure equipment industrial base integrating research and development, production, display and sales; Scientific planning and construction of tourism terminals, and actively support the exploration and development of various tourism products using yachts as platforms. The provincial Department of Transportation will actively promote the development of the yacht industry; The provincial Crew Training Center has become the first yacht professional training institution in our province, and the training of yacht professionals has been carried out smoothly; Jining and Weihai have a number of yacht manufacturing enterprises leading the development of Shandong yacht manufacturing industry.
